April's meeting will be on advancement.
Our Eagle project coordinator (Dean Silloway) will cover the process and the pitfalls of completing the Eagle Project Workbook Our Advancement chair (Jim Rivers) will go over the advancement process from completing the Eagle application all the way to the Eagle Board of Review. Please join us at 7:00 pm on Tuesday April 10th at The Middlebury American Legion. We will answer all your questions on Scout advancement. The Green Mountain Council will hold its’ annual business meeting on Sunday, April 29 as part of the Council Recognition and Awards dinner. The purpose of the annual business meeting is to receive reports from the executive board, receive and approve financial statements, elect Council members-at-large, associate and honorary members of the Council, National Council members, regular members of the executive board, and officers other than the Scout Executive. In addition will be the review and approval of a list of Council resolutions. All Chartered Organization Representatives and current Council members-at-large are eligible to vote and encouraged to attend.
The annual business meeting will be the first part of the dinner program, which begins at 2:00 PM at the Barre Elks Lodge, 10 Jefferson Street. Marc Poulin – Barre Kevin McCullen – Essex Junction The presentation of the award will be made at the Council Annual Recognition Dinner and Awards Ceremony, Sunday, April 29 at the Barre Elks Lodge, 10 Jefferson Street, Registration – 1:00 PM – Dinner – 2:00 PM. Cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple. So, mark your calendars and spread the word to the other leaders to join in an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and a laundry list of recognition and awards to a number of deserving adult leaders from around the state highlighted by the presentation of the Silver Beaver Award. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Scouting at the Council (state) level, hear about some very new and exciting programs that are the future of Scouting, and applaud the accomplishments of those who have worked passionately to be recognized for service to community, service to family and service to Scouting.
