More than 70% of the popcorn and peanut sales supports your programs and local Scouting! Green Mountain Council does all the pre-work to set up the sale, eliminating the need for your unit to research opportunities, calculate returns, create sales and promotional materials, manage a relationship with a vendor, and more. This is a turnkey, no-money down opportunity!

It may still look like Winter outdoors, but it isn’t too early to begin thinking about the Spring Popcorn and Nut sale. This sale completes the transition from a Fall sale model to a Spring sale that is aimed at being a better fit with your unit’s annual program and cash flow needs.  We intend to make this sale simple, flexible, straightforward, and efficient for you.

Here are some highlights:
  • The sale will include an assortment of popcorn and nut products.
  • Your unit sales commission is simple- the more you sell, the higher percentage you can earn.
  • Your unit can choose to receive individual prizes for your scouts or you can earn a higher percentage of your sales.
  • Participation in this annual sales opportunity has been integrated into the criteria for earning the prestigious Quality Unit Award.

Our annual Popcorn and Nut Sale is more than a fundraiser, it's an educational experience that teaches Scouts valuable skills while supporting their growth and development!

Proven Product Sale Methods

There are three different ways to sell as a unit.

  • Show N Sell is a direct sale that takes place outside of a local business, where Scouts interact directly with community members and encourage them to buy popcorn.
  • Take-Order is an order and fulfillment process that takes place in your neighborhood, where Scouts go door-to-door and ask for popcorn orders that are fulfilled at a later date.
  • Online Sales are also available and can be used to raise funds for your unit no matter where the customer is located.
