Webelos Woods

Webelos Woods is a campout designed to introduce Webelos Scouts to the many outdoor adventures of Scouting. This awesome weekend event includes patrol-method camping and Scout activities. On Saturday morning, Webelos dens compete in Webelos Scout skills (first aid, fire building, camping skills, archery, BB guns, catapult building, games, knots) and during the afternoon local troops teach basic Scouting skills. The Webelos dens are judged on den flag and yell, resources, leadership, teamwork, skill demonstration, and Scout spirit.
All Scouts who will be first- or second-year Webelos in the fall, their leaders, and parents, are invited to Mt. Norris for a day and night(s) of Scouting fun.
Check-in begins at 6:30 PM on Friday. There will be activity stations all day Saturday, with Scouting skills, fun, and games; an opportunity to tour Mt. Norris; and a fabulous campfire program in the evening.
Camping is an important part of Scouting, and what better place to learn and sharpen skills than at Mt. Norris? Webelos leaders: bring your whole Den and begin fulfilling adventure requirements for den camping, outdoor cooking, knot tying, and more!
Webelos are to come with their own gear, set up their own tent sites, cook their own food, and enjoy the company of Scouts BSA who will run skill stations and lead games. All under the guidance of experienced leaders who can help your den work out the rough spots of your first den campout.
Cost is $50 per Scout, $25 for adults. If the family has pledged a recurring gift to Green Mountain Council through the Character Coop, cost is $40 per Scout, $20 for adults.
