Where – Camp Sunrise, Benson VT
Who – Boy Scouts, Venture Crews, Cub Scouts, Lone Scouts, Explorers, leaders and parents.

Traditionally, beaver day falls on this weekend at Camp Sunrise. What’s beaver day? It’s a day that volunteers and supporters of Camp Sunrise come and perform various tasks to help prepare the camp for the summer.

To follow in this tradition, each unit needs to bring a competition event that is service based. Let your imaginations run wild. All events should be based on patrols of 8.

There will be a district run event that if everything works out will involve pulling triggers.

Don’t worry about fixing lunch! Lunch will be provided as part of the cost of the event.

In the place of an afternoon camp wide game, there will be a list of service projects that everyone will be able to sign up for when they register. If you or your group have a specific set of skills that you feel can be utilized please let us know in advance. There may be a couple of large projects that will require more than one troop or pack.

For the camp wide cook-off, it will be a dessert competition. Units will eat dinner on their own and then bring their dessert for camp wide judging. There will be a separate award for the best dessert. There will also be a separate set of instructions for the cook off.

Due to the fact that there will be a Cub specific event only 2 weeks before this, there will be no separate Cub Scout Activities. Cub Scouts are still encouraged to attend but as a unit (pack) and move through the activities as a patrol just as the Boy Scouts will be doing on this day. Packs are also encouraged to bring an event for everyone to compete in Saturday Morning.

Other highlights of the day will be; flag retirement ceremony, Order of the Arrow call out ceremony and more!

More information and registration can be found on the Ethan Allen Activities Page.
