 Roundtable is WEDNESDAY. AUGUST 9TH and all future roundtables will be the SECOND WEDNESDAY of every month!

This roundtable will be hosted by United Community Church in St J at 7PM.

​Please please please try to make it to Wednesday as we are focusing on recruitment so this will be our Fall Recruitment Kickoff where we will have numerous materials available including:
  • Yard signs
  • Applications
  • Posters
  • Flyers
  • Council Calenders
  • Mini Boy's Life magazines
We will be focusing our attention on any announcements (a NEW UNIT POSITION available now), how to run a Scout Night, social media and how to use it, and last, but not least information on what your first few meetings should look like after getting all of these kids.

Come and learn about all of these exciting things and go home full of encouragement and fire for Fall Recruitment!

Archaeology Weekend

  Come for a weekend of dirty fun while participating in an archaeological excavation of the former Jones Brothers Company granite manufacturing plant. Learn how to be an archaeologist while getting your merit badge. Also learn about the history of Vermont’ s granite industry from professional archaeologists Dr. Scott A. McLaughlin, Director of the Vermont Granite Museum, and Dr. Jess Robinson, Vermont’ s State Archaeologist. Deadline to register is Friday, August 4, 2017. Please call for availability after August 4.
        August 18– 20 (Friday 4pm– Sunday 12pm)
        Admission: $40 per Scout, $30 per adult (includes meals)
        Limited openings available

Each scout should bring their own:
  • Work gloves
  • Archaeology Merit Badge Book (read book and start on Req. 4 before arriving)
  • Archaeology Worksheets available at meritbadge.org
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Field uniform and activity uniform
  • Tent and overnight camping gear
  • BSA Medical Form part A and B (available at scouting.org)
Meals are provided: (Friday snack; Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2 snacks; Sunday breakfast)
