ROCK-N-THE-TRAILS
LONG TRAIL DISTRICTS SPRING CAMPOREE! FIRST: Gather up all your Boy Scouts, and DON'T forget to invite your Arrow of Light and Webelos Scouts! (Even the Cubs that just started the Webelos program this year) SECOND: Clear your schedules and mark your Calendar for Friday May 19 - Sunday May 21. THIRD: Set your GPS or blow the dust off the paper maps in the glove box and be ready to travel to MILLSTONE HILL, BARRE Home of the Millstone Trail Association and Barre Town Forest FOURTH: Print the registration sheet and sign up those Scouts and Leaders who can not wait to attend this year! Cost is only $20 per person for everything we are offering. WHAT IS OFFERED????? 1.) You and your Scouts will be experiencing all Millstone has to offer. Not only do you get to Hike the Beautiful trails, but along the way you will be geocaching and answering a questionnaire. This opportunity comes with Recognition and Pride with your very own MILLSTONE MEDAL! 2.) What's a trip to Barre without a tour of ROCK OF AGES? While enjoying the Camporee, we will be bringing you on this amazing Tour and while there you can start work on Mining in Society Merit Badge 3.) Saturday night is a camp wide Pot Luck Dinner!!! BBQ Chicken will be provided to all, Each Troop will be asked to bring a Pot luck meal that will be sampled and voted on by all! Don't Worry, the scouts will have plenty of time to enjoy hiking, Rock of ages Tour and working on Merit badges along the way......... Scouts just need to plan the meal........ Guess who enters the Cooking Challenge this year????? Troop Leader against Troop Leader.......... Now this will be fun! 4.) Don't Forget that in all this excitement you will be spending 2 nights in Beautiful Millstone..... Be prepared for Spring Weather, wouldn't break out the swim trunks just yet...... also be advised that you might be carrying gear in and out of your campsites, and Boy Scouts are "Helpful" and Scoutmasters are not pack mules.
