2016 CALVIN COOLIDGE AND ETHAN ALLEN CO-DISTRICT FALL CAMPOREE AND SCOUTSHOW
SCOUTING IN THE 21ST CENTURY
WHEN - OCTOBER 7TH THROUGH OCTOBER 9TH 2016 WHERE - RUTLAND STATE FAIRGROUNDS

Join us this fall for a weekend of Scout competition, promotion and fellowship.

This is a combined event with both the Calvin Coolidge and Ethan Allen Districts.

This is a great opportunity to promote Scouting. Each Scout that brings a non Scouting friend for the weekend, for the day’s events on Saturday or has a friend come in from the public and gives the name of the Scout that invited him upon entrance will get a special patch.

Scouts will compete all Saturday morning at events designed and run by their fellow troops and packs.

On top of the events, the districts are going to have a pinewood track and a rain gutter regatta set up for the scouts’ enjoyment. Bring your own car or boat or, use the ones that the district provides.

After lunch, there will be a camp wide orienteering treasure hunt.

The day’s competition ends the day with a camp wide cook off.

We plan on offering the Scouting Heritage merit badge. If interested please print the worksheet and bring it.

On top of the traditional camporee games and competitions, we are also asking the units to bring a static or interactive display for the Scout Show that represents your troop or pack. This event will be open to the public during the day on Saturday so again, this is a great opportunity to promote Scouting in the southern half of the state.

To add to the day’s events, there will be outside vendors and activities including the National Guard with their virtual reality construction equipment, sumo wrestling and other attractions, informational booths about Scouting and non scouting activities, a food vendor to provide snacks and lunch if you don’t feel like preparing lunch, merchandise that goes along with Scouting interests and much more!

T-shirts will also be available and printed on site at a great price!

The day will end with skits and a closing / awards ceremony at dusk.

Please register by September 23rd.

Also please contact one of the following with you unit’s event and information about your display by the September 23rd also. This will help us cut down on duplicates and help us help you if you have special needs for your event or display.
