Please remember, any electronic communication involving a youth member must adhere to the BSA's Youth Protection Policies, and all Scouts must earn Cyberchip to learn to stay safe using digital media.

- Guidelines from Green Mountain Council for conducting unit, District, and Council activities are available in Scouting Through COVID Top 10 (UPDATED 3/4/2021).
- GMC's Pre-Event Screening Checklist (UPDATED 3/4/2021) must be completed by all participants at District and Council events and kept on file by the event leader in the event that contact tracing should be required. It is also a useful tool for unit use.
- On August 20, Green Mountain Council re-opened camping at Mt. Norris Scout Reservation for Troops and Crews (limit 25 persons per campsite) and Scout Families (one family per site). Details in this Mt. Norris Restart document. To reserve a site, complete the Norris Property Unit Activity Agreement or the Family Use Agreement.

PROGRAM CHANGES AND REMINDERS
- Green Mountain Council has modified the requirements for the National Summertime Pack Award to provide recognition for Cub Scout summer activities despite the circumstances that have made it difficult for Packs to do activities together. To report and order recognitions, use the GMC Summer 2020 application form.
- GMC's Day Camp in a Box is still available for Cub-age youth. It contains 25 activities easily completed at home, several of which satisfy Adventure requirements.
- Troop leaders, be sure to check COVID-19 FAQ, UPDATED 1/14/2021 with new advancement changes. For instance, did you know that camping merit badge requirement 9b has been temporarily suspended, and that second class (5B) and first class (6A) swimming requirements may be deferred to the next rank? This temporary deferment will allow Scouts to advance in rank up to, and including, Life Scout but not beyond. There are other temporary rank advancement changes in this document.
- Modifications have been made to the Order of the Arrow Camping Night Policy, UPDATED 1/10/2021 for the 2021 OA election year.

- The website scouting.org/scoutingathome has multiple activities divided by Scouting programs and/or subject areas for your Scout or unit.
- See COVID-19 FAQ, UPDATED 1/14/2021, for answers to common questions on advancement, internet safety, and the coming summer season. The update includes guidance regarding in-person unit activities, as well as Scouts BSA Advancement changes.
- At scouting.org, Digital Safety and Online Scouting Activities reminds us of best practices for all online Scouting activities and meetings, and contains links to other online safety sources. NOTE: "Do not make recordings of online activities/meetings that include youth participants."
