Who We AreThe Green Mountain Council continues its proud heritage of serving community organizations across the 14 counties that comprise our service area - the State of Vermont. More than 5,500 youth participated in the Scouting and Learning for Life programs provided by nearly 2,300 dedicated volunteer leaders.

Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Green Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by installing in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law and to prove opportunities for achievement, adventure, and leadership skills.
