Picture
When? – April 27th – 29th 2018 - Check in starts after 5:30 PM (please check in before setting up)
Where? – Camp Sunrise, Benson VT
Who? – Boy Scouts, Venture Crews, Cub Scouts, Lone Scouts, Explorers, leaders and parents.
What? – Come and join your fellow Scouts on an adventure back to the days when the West was yet to be tamed and the pioneering spirit guided us until hit the Pacific Ocean!

Units need to bring an event for your fellow Scouts to compete against each other and prove which unit is best suited to thrive where the tumbleweeds roll and the buffalo roam! Events should be based on 8 man patrols and need to be run either by older Scouts or unit leaders. There is an award for best event so, use your imagination and think outside the box.

The activities committee will be running 2 events at this camporee. There is an all-day L.A.R.P. activity where the units will have to unravel the mystery of which outlaw pulled the heist and got away with the registration money! The other one will be a shooting event where all Boy Scouts will get to shoot air soft pistols at the old time shooting gallery.

After a morning of competition, you’ll be hungry! No worries! Lunch is on us! Included with your registration fees you will get a BBQ chicken lunch! Yum!

After lunch, we will be entertained by troop 40 from Hartford NY who specializes in roping!

Last but not least, don’t forget the OA call out ceremony and western themed skits at the closing campfire! I can’t wait to see what the troops come up with for western skits.
