As we move into the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, we should all take stock of where we are in life, and despite our day-to-day challenges, what we have to be thankful for. Thanksgiving is a special day in the lives of many Americans as families gather to eat, drink and be merry. While not all Thanksgiving Day gatherings are perfect, it is a time to reconnect and to give thanks to God, parents, other family members and friends who are close and people who have made a positive impact in your life. We move through life at a rapid pace as we juggle work and family schedules. We deal with health and financial issues, and sometimes worry about what the future of this Country and our World will be for you and me, our children and the next generation of families. So be sure to try to keep life simple, enjoy what you have, work toward your goals and thank those who have helped you along the way. From all of us at the Green Mountain Council staff to all our wonderful families and volunteers who have chosen Scouting as a movement that can improve lives, THANK YOU! Thank you for all you do. Our very best to you for a safe, healthy and happy Thanksgiving!
