Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is the assessment of and treatment given to an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definitive care by a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available. Participants will learn how to assess, treat, and (when possible), contain emergencies within the scope of his or her training.
Youth and adult Scout leaders 14 years of age or older are invited to participate and must have completed CPR/AED training. If not completed, you can still take the course but cannot get the certification card until proof of completion of CPR/AED is presented to the instructor. Note that the course size is limited to a maximum of 12 on a first registered and paid, first served basis. Deadline to register is May 1st. This is a 16 hour course.
