Green Mountain Council Recognition and Awards Dinner set for June 11th

5/12/2017

Note the day – Sunday – 2 PM

As a leader, parent of Friend of Scouting, please join our family for a fun afternoon of celebration, recognition of some outstanding individuals, Gold level JTE units and those units that excelled in popcorn/peanut sales.    In addition, we will be presenting the Medal of Merit to a Scout from Pack 43 who helped save a friend from what could have been, a very unfortunate outcome.  Come here his story of quick thinking and quicker action.

Plus, the annual highlight of this event is the presentation of the Silver Beaver Award to some outstanding volunteers of the Green Mountain Council.  This award is the highest that can be earned by a volunteer and presented by the local Council.  The nominees this year are once again outstanding and all very deserving.   Keep an eye out later this month when the committee meets and announced this year’s Class.

Other program items will include the President’s Award, given by outgoing President Bernie Isabelle to a Scouter who he felt performed outstanding work to improve the Scouting program in the state; the presentation of a 50 year veteran pin to a long time Scouting friend and so much more.

Most of all, this event is fun!  Relax enjoy a Sunday with your spouse, significant other, members of your unit or other Scouters how have met along the trail.  Gather and relax.  No rush to get off work and race the event and no worries about getting home so late.

Great idea from a great group of people behind the scenes making this event one of a few that everyone from across the state can and are very welcome to attend.  So, don’t delay sign up today.  Click below for the registration form.
