The Green Mountain Council Finance team has officially kicked off its annual Family Friends of Scouting campaign in all four districts across the state. With a goal of $74,425 the campaign is off to a good start raising 15% of its goal in the first month. Many unit leaders have already set a date, time and place for the presentation to parents of Scouts. For those units that have not yet scheduled a presentation, the finance committee is asking and encouraging all unit leaders to work with their respective committees to schedule a presentation as soon as possible, preferably a Pack Blue and Gold Banquet and a Scouts BSA Court of Honor. For more information on Friends of Scouting and how you can support it, contact the Council Service Center at 802-244-5189 or your local District Executive. The campaign typically runs through the end of March.

Friends of Scouting (FOS) is:

- An investment in your son, his leaders and the thousands of other Scouts of Vermont.
- Made up of persons who believe in the values of Scouting and the positive impact it has on the lives of the youth it serves.

- One of the largest sources of revenue for the Green Mountain Council staff and volunteers to accomplish the mission of instilling values in young people over their lifetime.
