
After the 2017 Recognition dinner held in June, a survey was taken of the attendees on the future of this event. It was clear that everyone enjoyed the event but felt it needed to be moved to another month. Thus, for 2018, the recognition event will be held on Sunday, April 29 at a location to be determined. The dinner is highlighted with the presentation of the Silver Beaver Award and nominations are now being accepted. Below is additional information about the award and how to nominate someone deemed worthy by his or her peers.
Silver Beaver Award Nominations
Since the 1930's when it was first introduced by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Silver Beaver Award has been the highest award a Council can give to its Scouters. It is presented for outstanding service to youth within the Council or for outstanding longtime service to youth by a registered Scouter.
Nominations are due by March 2, 2018 at the Green Mountain Council Service Center. If you wish to nominate someone, you must use the latest nomination form, downloadable at:
