The initial Trail’s End Popcorn sale has just wrapped up and many thanks go out to those units that participated. There were some real positive reports of units funding their entire year of Scouting with this sale and some great success stories on individual sales goals being achieved by the Scouts. However, there were other units that did not fare as well as expected or did well but not quite to goal. To that end, the Green Mountain Council Popcorn Committee has agreed it would be good for many to offer a Second Chance Popcorn sale. In addition to the reason mentioned, it was also based on feedback from some unit popcorn kernels who indicated that if the Scouts and families would have had some more time, they could have increased sales. The other factor is that some of the packs that had a later recruitment didn’t have the chance to get the new families engaged and up to speed on the sale and how it can benefit their son with program funds. So, the “Second Chance Sale” kicks off Sunday, November 5th and runs for one month. To sign up or get more information click here.
