i​A gentle reminder to all Boy Scout units that effective January 1, 2017 all Scouts MUST use the new BSA Advancement requirements for all ranks. Unit leaders and unit committee members (Advancement Chairs, etc.), need to take the necessary steps to ensure each Scout is working off the the new requirements.

Leader Breakouts
Cub Scout Leaders – This month we will be discussing the new Lions program and following the Lions Guide training material. By the end of our session we will be trained as a Lion Guide. Please invite your new Lion Guides so they will be ready to lead their Dens! Your new Lions Guides only need Youth Protection Training beside this session too be considered trained. All Cub leaders will benefit from this training so everyone understands how a Lion’s Den fits in the Pack structure.  
 
Boy Scout & Venture Leaders – We will be discussing parental agreement forms and talent forms. The two forms help to engage parents and explain expectations for both the Troop and parents. We will also review knot tying so Leaders can help assist teaching Pack Leaders next month.

Together all leaders will practice knots and Lashings. We will discuss the rechartering process. We will also discuss how to use My.Scouting.Org
