Scout Night at Thunder Road Thursday, July 9, 2009

Post Time 6:30pm

All Scouts who come in uniform will get free admission to the races on July 9th.

Get there at 4pm to ride around the track in a race car.

Gates generally open about 1 ½ hours before post time.

We have been trying to get a scout night at Thunder road for a couple of years now and we want to have a good turnout. They used to do scout night at the Road but stopped due to declining interest on the part of scouting.

So let’s roar into Thunder Road on July 9th and show them that we appreciate it and hope they will continue it for years to come. All you have to do is show up at the track that night. Be sure to be in uniform!

Actually just found out that on the night of the race, if kids get there at 4pm then they will be able to get a ride in a race car around the track. They are doing kids rides from 4 to 5pm. My kids have done this in the past and have had a blast.
