Thank You.  Two words that have an incredible amount of empowerment, and are sometimes not stressed enough in our movement.  So first, let me say "thank you" to all of our youth and their families, adult volunteers, chartered partners, and alumni. I am incredibly honored to be serving the Green Mountain Council as your Council Commissioner. 

We have a large challenge ahead of us in the Green Mountain Council.  This challenge is one that needs everyone's attention.  It is our Youth.  Our youth in this country and this state are in need of Scouting values and Scouting experiences. 

Therefore, I am requesting help and support this Scouting year.  The Commissioner staff has been challenged to be more active and involved in their units and Scouting communities.  I encourage you to help them with this mission.  Allow them your time and generosity to support your units.  Welcome them in with open arms and courtesy. 

In order for our units and youth to thrive we need to make sure they have the support from the sponsoring organizations and therefore strengthening our relationships with our Chartered Partners is a major priority. 

I believe in this movement and in Scouting in Vermont.  It will take effort and energy from all of us.  I guarantee you I will work as hard as ever to provide leadership and guidance to this process.
