**NEW** - Life to Eagle Procedures Guide

Over the last two years it has become evident how challenging with the Life to Eagle process can be.  From the project approval to the Eagle BOR there has a number of instances with there was missing paperwork, missed timelines, missing signatures, etc.  In an attempt to simplify the process and standardize the Life to Eagle process across the state, we have written a Life to Eagle Procedure Guide that will help to navigate the Scout, his parents, his Scoutmaster through the Life to Eagle paperwork trail.

This document is a work in progress.  We want your feedback as we work to make this process less stressful for everyone involved.  If you have feedback, please contact Ken Bell @ [email protected].

**Do not begin your Eagle Project until you get District Approval**
  1. Research a project which will benefit your church, school and or community.
  2. Discuss the project with your Scoutmaster and obtain a copy of the most recent Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook.  You must use the most currently available workbook (link below).  Failure to do so will result in a rejection of your proposal.
  3. Obtain Scoutmaster’s consent to proceed then review the concept and the proposal details with the organization which will benefit from your project.
  4. Fill out section 2 of the Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook; Eagle Scout Service Project Proposal as well as the Eagle Scout Service Project Fundraising Application found in section 3 of the Eagle Scout workbook.
  5. After completing your write-up, and have secured the signatures of the Troop Committee, the Scoutmaster and the head of organization your project is supporting -  submit the completed proposal to the District Eagle Project Adviser contact for final approval.
