Hooked on Scouting fishing lure incentive for Cub Scouts

Last Year the Green Mountain Council gave every new youth a baseball when they signed up with a unit. It was our Pitch for Scouting. For 2009, instead of baseballs we will be giving away fishing lures.

This year we are trying to Catch our youth’s attention and get them hooked on Scouting with this recruitment incentive.

Every new boy that joins Cub Scouts in the fall will receive a Green Mountain Council Fishing Lure. In addition every pack that meets their membership goal by recruiting new Cub Scouts will also receive a GMC fishing lure.

To qualify for this incentive, Packs need to work with their District Executive and come to an agreement on what their goal for 2009 should be.
