Welcome to Troop 729, where boys become men of character who are prepared for life!

Teaching, training and encouraging boys to be leaders is the core of Scouting. Scouts learn by doing, and what they do in Troop 729 is lead their patrols and their troop on the journey of a lifetime.

The philosophy of Troop 729 is to develop each boy's confidence and leadership ability through a boy run troop enjoying various experiences in camping, with practical hands-on education, and many exciting outdoor events.

As such, it is the responsibility of the leaders of Troop 729 to make their best efforts to include these elements in every aspect of our Troop program as planned by the boys.  In addition, the Charter Organization wishes the Troop to emphasize aspects of community service and local history/folklore.

Quality Leadership

Troop 729 is run by fully trained Leaders who have also earned the rank of Eagle Scout and are active members of the Order of the Arrow, which is the "National Honor Society of Scouting."
