Calvin Coolidge District
Honored as a Centennial Quality District
From: Richard Stockton - Scout Executive
It is with great pride and excitement that I announce that the Northeast Region, Boy Scouts of America has declared the Calvin Coolidge District a Centennial Quality District for 2009. The Centennial Quality Award is the highest honor a District can achieve. This is the second time in 3 years that Calvin Coolidge has achieved this honor.
No award of this magnitude is won by a few individuals. This was a real team effort. Every Pack, Troop, Crew, Post, Committee, and District Leadershp in Calvin Coolidge helped to earn this award. The countless hours spent by the volunteers of the Green Mountain Council to provide the outstanding quality program to the youth members is in large measure why this award was achieved. The Executive Board of the Council would like to thank each and every one of the Leaders, Scouts and families of the Calvin Coolidge District for all the effort. As a community you came together and achieved a great honor. Thank you for making Scouting in the Calvin Coolidge District and the Green Mountain Council one of the Best Council’s in America.
