Combining the groups -

We are all "Challenged"!  - So are many youth who come into our units. Explore the challenges faced today. Get some helpful answers on how to work with those who are challenged and still keep your own sanity and wits about you. First get an understanding then some helpful ways to work with each individual in your unit. Along the way a Greater Appreciation for what they can do over what they can not do will surprise you.

Order of the Arrow - Troop Adults are asked to bring their O/A Youth - These Youth are planning the Klondike Derby for this year, Working on getting dates scheduled for O/A Elections in every Troop between now and March 31rst. They are critical in "promoting our Camps",  doing Service Projects and more. Your Troop has more of a voice in their functions if the youth are present to participate.

-- TRAINING - Get updates on the next Training's Available. All Adults are being required soon to be fully trained. Training helps make sense of what this program is all about and gives you a the tools to go back and do what ever you do with the youth in your unit. Check the calendar for training anywhere in the Council and see which one fits your schedule and plan to attend.

Next --> CUB Leader Training - JAN 28th At Lyndon State. Morning will be all The Leader Training courses. The Afternoon will be for Committee Training. Please inform them all to attend. Kids can be taken to the Round Robin Events and Activities by another parent or Spouse or perhaps an older responsible Teen Sibling while you take the course. Flyers will be available at the Round Table. Please email Ms Lucy Neel or Leslie Sanborn to register.

-- PLUS, find out what's in store at Scoutorama on January 28 and anything else going on in the near future in Scouting.
-- AND, get questions answered, join in discussions of issues of importance to everyone, and LAUGH!

FOR THE END OF THE YEAR AUCTION

WHAT ARE ROUND TABLE BUCKS?

Roundtable Bucks are your reward for coming to Roundtable and for sharing your program with us and with the public. This currency can only be used in our wonderfully fun June auction, which in the past has put up for bid such items as vintage patches and Scout books, homemade food and trail items, craft supplies . . . all donated by Scouters. You earn RT$5 every time you:

  • Attend Round Table. Each month you attended and signed in will be accounted for through the RT sign in records.
  • Present a topic at the Round Table- (RT Staff excluded).
  • Bring a Scouter who has never been before to RT
  • MARKET YOUR UNIT LOCALLY. Show a published article, photo, or some other publicity piece that went to the general public that you were directly involved in producing, which highlights your unit.

SO WHY COME TO ROUND TABLE?

Because... at RT we have experienced volunteers like you who you can connect with and ask any question etc. Great ideas are presented to make it easy for you to go back home enthusiastic and ready to do the next month's program. These are not out of the same book you use. Program has always been flexible enough to allow creativity.

If there is a policy issue we can give you answers or take your questions to someone who does have the answer.

A Council Professional is present to listen to you if need be etc. So bring in any NEW YOUTH / ADULT APPLICATIONS (with the Youth Protection Trained Certificate Attached) and the registration fees unless your unit has enough money on account at the Council Service Center).

Get literature or printed material on upcoming District and Council events.

Learn a new skill or available resource to help you with your unit.

Cub Leaders will go away with easy to use ideas for their meetings in the next month!

Troop Leaders connect with other Troop Leaders to do various Troop connected things form meetings to the outdoors and youth advancements to  learn more about them.

Net Work, Socialize and have FUN!
