WHAT ARE ROUND TABLE BUCKS?

Round Table Bucks Program was introduced last  year as an incentive to participate in various things Long Trail District is doing to help units become strong and fun. Leslie Sanborn, will play banker and at the June Round Table Meeting hand an envelop to leaders with the "Bucks earned'. These Bucks will be used in an auction of items which will be donated by other volunteers etc. Things which have been identified as Round Table Bucks earning opportunities are:

  • Attend Round Table. Each month you attended and signed in will be accounted for through the RT sign in records.
  • Present a topic at the Round Table- (RT Staff excluded).
  • Bring a Scouter who has never been before to RT
  • Write a news brief and or article that appears in the LT District E-news "Smoke Signals.
  • At RT, Show a published article, photo, or some other publicity piece that went to the general public that you were directly involved in producing, which highlights your unit.

 SMOKE SIGNALS RETURNING

Leslie Sanborn is the new editor of Smoke Signals, and requests that all articles be emailed to her at asteriskvt@aol.comExternal Link .  She's looking for news briefs reporting on unit, district, and council activities.  Short on time?  Sometimes, a picture is worth a thousand words, so consider sending photos with captions.  Announcements of upcoming events is being expanded to include unit events: Let her know the when/where/contact information of your next derby or other special event/activity that would be of interest to others.  How better for a new leader to learn about running events than to attend one of yours?
Remember, your item that appears in print in Smoke Signals entitles you to additional RT$ (limit RT$ per issue).  If you don't know about RT$ yet see above and look for updates to be revealed in the next Smoke Signals . .
