Well, we are now almost to the end of our second month in the new organization and the wheels have not fallen off the bus. It has taken some flexibility and a lot of dedicated service to keep things going and I know the scouts in our district appreciate what you have done for them - even if they don't know who did it. However, we do and the Annual Leader and Unit Recognition Dinner is now in the works. Date looks like April 24th once we get confirmation. At Susanne's on the hill in Berlin. More to come soon.
As I mentione previously, our meetings have not been particularly well attended - partially because we have such a small committee, partially because of distances, and partially because there really isn't new business for the entire committee each month. We are now going to try to have a quarterly meeting and the first of these will be at our usual site, the Catholic Church in Danville, at 7PM on Tuesday, March 16. Please note the date change. I would like to encourage everyone to attend. I will get a more formal agenda out as we get closer, but in particular I would like to discuss our recent events - the Swim O Rama and the District-wide, locally conducted food drive, and by then, the Klondike Derby. We should then move on to discuss the upcoming Pinewood Derby and the Spring Camporee. I'll invite the Council to participate and see if we can jump start the next Scouting Year.
Thank you once again for all you do for Vermont's youth. We can't have a great program without your help.
YIS,
Bob Griffin
