NEXT FULL DAY _ COMMISSIONER SUMMIT
February 4th at Norwich University Northfield VT in Webb Hall. These quarterly Council Commissioner held sessions include lots of valuable information and training's. There is usually Commissioner Basic / Orientation for the Newest Commissioner and other courses which may count towards your Commissioner of Science Degree. There is no fee / Lunch is provided. But pre-registration is highly suggested to accommodate you for lunch. Please RESERVE THIS DATE

Commissioner help is requested. Please bring or encourage your unit leaders, parents and Charter reps to attend. Our RT have well trained leaders who need people. RT is one of the best ways to keep the enthusiasm and make it easier for units to run their programs etc.
CHARTERS DUE
The Sevice Center is closed Dec 23 - Jan 4th - Please get unit charters there now.
Journey to Excellence
Please pull the most recent form from the National Web site. There were changes made since it came out. These should be done by the end of December to be considered ON_TIME. (linked below)
RETENTION -Take figures from Last Years Charters and this years and work the formula on this form.
Get the 2012 Form to go over the goals for next year. Once again there were some changes from the 2011 JTE Form
If you make a plan it will happen. Please check your unit progress each month at the Committee or leader meeting on the JOURNEY TO EXCELLENCE (JTE) 
We are now using the District JTE as a base for our agenda to keep us on track towards being a good district. This may also work in Unit Committee meetings. Different requirements can be delegated to various members of the committee to attend to and track all year.

Commissioner staff is the glue to keeping units strong, healthy and making progress. A great position for that Scouter who has been in a unit but now their son is done and has moved on.
