Who is Wood Badge for and what’s EDGE?

For those who do not like the mundane, Wood Badge is an adult leadership course that teaches you leadership skills in a scouting environment. You will progress through the different programs in scouting with much of the course using the Patrol Method and troop structure as a way to organize participants. Learning is achieved through the concept of EDGE, explain, demonstrate, guide and enable. While participants are learning the material from the staff they have opportunities to use that information during the course and are expected to use the skills learned after the course while completing their “ticket”.
