Winter Trek Staff Needed
Have you ever wanted to get out and work with some of the best Scouts around? We need your help at the Green Mountain Council - Winter Treks.
We are looking for your support in providing program for the Scouts who will be attending our Winter Trek events. The main program runs on Saturday and that is when we really need your HELP!
The Mt. Norris Scout Reservation is coated in her winter garb and awaiting the arrival of the Scouts and Scouters who have signed up to experience Scouting in Vermont during the winter. This years program is filled to and beyond capacity, we must find a way to provide our promise of a fun filled weekend to these Scouts in our winter wonderland.
We need all kinds of help, here are some specific ideas:
- Fire By Friction Area
- Rope Making Area
- Ice Fishing -- need experienced persons with equipment
- Cross country ski/ Snowshoe -- need someone with knowledge of equipment willing to work with scouts
- Campfire/dining hall -- need someone to coordinate and mc programs
Depending on weather and snow condition we have done a variety of other activities , if you have or know someone who has skills in an appropriate activity that we might be able to do on these weekends please let me know.
