Silver Beaver Award Nominations are due
On June 19, 2008, at the Council Recognition Dinner in Montpelier, the Green Mountain Council will present the Silver Beaver Award to some deserving Scouters. This is the highest and most prestigious award a Boy Scout Council can present to a Scouter. A Scouter must be nominated by his peers and be approved by a committee of distinguished and experienced Scouters.
If you believe that a Scouter you know is deserving of this recognition, you need to fill out a Silver Beaver Nomination form. Fill out the form with as much detail as possible. Use extra sheets of paper if necessary. The more information and the more detailed information, the better. Please keep the nominated person as much in the dark as possible. It should be a surprise. Spouses make good sources on information and good co-conspirators.
Please submit your nomination forms by Thursday April 24, 2008 to Dave Osborne at the Council Service Center.
The Green Mountain Council Silver Beaver Selection Committee will be meeting on May 8th to select Silver Beaver recipients.
