Ethan Allen District - Information for Merit Badge Counselors

MERIT BADGE COUNSELORS: When signing up to be a Merit Badge Counselor, there are two (2) forms: a Counselor Application Form to register as a Merit Badge Counselor with the Ethan Allen District, Green Mountain Council, and a Merit Badge Counselor Information Form which tells us the merit badges you would like to counsel and your qualifications. Note that these forms follow the format of the forms on the National Web Site, but also include birthdates (instead of just age) and email addresses, so please use our District's forms.

Scoutmasters: remember all merit badge counselors must be approved by District and will appear on the District unit roster. Adults already registered with a scouting unit must still complete a separate application for the District roster even if they elect to work only within their home unit.

For a list of approved counselors for your unit or the district, see your Scoutmaster. Scoutmasters can email Theresa Nelson, Merit Badge Dean or Larry Gauthier, District Advancement Chair. Lists are published annually (usually in August). Counselors must renew their registration by December 31st every year.
