The Ethan Allen District Klondike Derby held on Saturday February 9th at the West Rutland Recreational Park had Troops from Granville 44, Glens Falls 6, Hoosick Falls 63, Shushan 111, along with our own Troops 11, 13, 18, 36, 61, 104, 110, 112, 113, 116, 120, 332, 334, 353, and 355. And Crew 122. Some 145 boys and 50+ adults enjoyed a trip back in time to the days of the Vikings, on a beautiful sunny day with nearly a foot of fresh snow!

The activities included Ship Shape, Plot yer course, In hot water, The Great Race to the New World, Blitz clog, Shiver yer timber, Call to arms, Carry the horde, Shield throw, Save your ship, Set sail, After the battle, Claim yer berg, Theme related attire, Runned aground, and of course - the great sled race!

I would like to THANK all the Boys, Parents, Leaders, Troop 116 West Rutland, Crew 122 Castleton, Crew 167 Benson, the members of the OA, and the Ethan Allen District Committee who participated in planning this event.
