Friends of Scouting
Each year, as part of the overall fund raising effort of the Council, we enroll as Friends of Scouting our alumni, Scout families, volunteers and other Scouting friends in the communities we serve. These friends make a financial investment in the Scouting program to help ensure its continued success. Local volunteers in each of the communities we serve conduct this effort as a campaign.
FOS monies are used to supplement other funds received by the Council, such as United Way support, activity and camping revenue, and other self-generated funds. FOS makes up almost one-fifth of the total income of the Green Mountain Council.
