Cub Scout Resident Camp
Summer camping is an opportunity for the continuation of Cub Scouting throughout the summer. The Green Mountain Council Cub Scout camping program is designed to meet the needs and interests of Cub Scouts, Webelos Scouts, and parents. Resident camping at Camp Sunrise will help boys maintain the interest generated the rest of the year in Cub Scouts, and also helps to strengthen packs and dens.
Camp Sunrise is pleased to announce that on July 7th, 2011 we had our annual National Accreditation for our Cub Scout Resident Camp which we passed with flying colors; meeting all mandatory and quality standards! Our new pennant was presented at lunch and can be seen flying from our flag pole.
Camp Sunrise had a second visitation as a result of our Aquatics Camp. We are please and proud to announce that on Tuesday August 9th, 2011 we passed with 100% meeting all mandatory and quality standards! This is the first time in the history of the camp that we have received two pennants in one camping season. Go Staff!
